Day 1
The beginning of adventure. We meet at the airport, pick up our luggage and go to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Today, we have planned an orientation tour of the city. In the evening we will call at the seaport, meet our captain and visit the yacht. Let's discuss the upcoming trip. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2
In the morning we load onto the yacht, after a short briefing we go out to the Pacific Ocean. We go northeast to the destination of our journey. Near the exit of Avacha Bay to the Pacific Ocean, we will stop at the picturesque Three Brothers rocks. We get used to life on a yacht and get acquainted.
Day 3
We continue our voyage to the Commander Islands. We enjoy ocean views, get used to rolling and watch marine mammals (there are 21 species of cetaceans). If we wish, we will be on watch and stand at the helm. The water area of the Commander Islands belongs to the Komandorsky Reserve - the largest marine reserve in Russia.
Day 4
On this day, if the weather is favorable, we arrive in the village of Nikolskoye - the only settlement on the Bering Island (Commander Islands). Already on the way to the island, we will be met by sea inhabitants: sea otters, seals and, possibly, whales. There is a very large population of sea otters near the village, they can be observed right from the coast. In the evening we go ashore. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5
Get to know the life of local residents at the end of the earth. We will visit the Nikolsky Museum of Local Lore, the office of the Komandorsky Biosphere Reserve, and then we will go to the north-western rookery of marine mammals. We will spend this night on the legendary yacht "Wild", forever moored to the shore of the village of Nikolskoye.
Day 6
In the morning we go to Buyan Bay. We go around Bering Island from the north and move along its eastern coast. Buyan Bay is famous for its placers of agates, jasper and opals. Gems are washed out of the basaltic lavas in the upper reaches of the river, which brings them to the sea. We take a walk, collect gems and leave towards Medny Island.
Day 7
The night passed on the way to the Preobrazhenskaya Bay. There used to be a village of the same name in this bay, which existed for almost 100 years and was abolished in 1977. We will examine the remains of the village and take a walk along the uninhabited island. We will spend the night on the beach in tents. Day trip - 10 km.
Day 8
In the morning we will go to the Poludennaya Bay. The way back to the village of Nikolskoye will pass along the rocky western shores of Bering Island with many waterfalls. The transition will take all day. We spend the night on a yacht.
Day 9
Today we will take a short walking trip from Poludennaya Bay to Steller's Arch. Georg Steller is a member of the Second Kamchatka Expedition; a twenty-meter arch of volcanic origin is named in his honor. Nearby is the Vodopadnaya River, where you can observe salmon spawning. After the excursion, we will return to the yacht and go to the village of Nikolskoye. We will spend the night on a yacht. Day trip - 17 km.
Day 10
Rest, reserve day in case of bad weather. Free day in the village. Nikolskoe, to gain strength before the two-day trek to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. We will spend the night on a yacht.
Days 11-12
We leave the Commanders and go back to civilization. The way back to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky takes about 48 hours. We are looking forward to meeting whales and killer whales, sharing our impressions. We communicate and discuss what we saw.
Day 13
Return to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. We say goodbye to the yacht and check into the hotel. In the evening we will celebrate our return in one of the city's restaurants.
Day 14
In the morning we will visit the fish market, where we will tell you which caviar and red fish are best for friends. After that we go to the airport.
Attention! At sea, much will depend on the weather, so our program is subject to change. Winds and fogs, which are not uncommon here, can impede landings or delay us on the way. In any case, everything will be done for a successful and safe journey.
