Day 1

Meeting participants at the airport. We meet, pick up our luggage and start our journey. We are going to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, after checking into the hotel we arrange an introductory tour of the capital of Kamchatka. We can dine at one of the city's restaurants if desired.

Day 2

Today we will get to know the Pacific Ocean. Breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the port and meeting with the yacht crew. Today we will visit the Three Brothers rocks near the exit from Avacha Bay, Starichkov Island with a large rookery of seals (spotted seals) and bird colonies, Vilyuchinskaya Bay with a large colony of sea otters (sea otters). In the evening we will enter the Russkaya Bay and anchor. Overnight on a yacht. Today we will get to know the Pacific Ocean. Day 3

In the morning we will have breakfast on the yacht and set off to explore the Russian Bay. Observation of salmon spawning in the Russkaya River, which flows into the bay. All summer several species of fish enter this river to give offspring. Fishing on the river bank, lunch of freshly caught fish. After lunch we go out into the ocean to the rookery of sea lions (sea lions) at Cape Kekurny. Then we will go to search for killer whales along the coast of Kamchatka. In the evening we will return to the Russkaya Bay. Overnight stay on the yacht.

Day 4

After breakfast on the yacht, we will go towards the Bechevinskaya Bay. We will walk along the eastern coast of Kamchatka overlooking the home volcanoes: Avachinsky, Kozelsky, Koryaksky and Zhupanovsky. We will pass by Krasheninnikov Island with large bird colonies. In the evening we will enter the Bechevinskaya Bay and anchor. Overnight stay on the yacht.

Day 5

After breakfast on the yacht, we will go on an excursion to the abandoned village of Bechevinka. The military village of Bechevinka (the official name is Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky-54) was created in the 1960s as a base for diesel submarines that guarded the entrance to Avacha Bay. In the 90s, the population was removed, and the village ceased to exist. We will visit an abandoned school, hospital, residential buildings, and find ourselves on a submarine pier. In the evening we will return to the yacht and sail along the coast to the Morzhovaya Bay. Overnight stay on the yacht.

Day 6

After breakfast on the yacht, we will go down to the shore. Morzhovaya Bay is one of the most picturesque bays in Kamchatka, protected from all winds. We will walk along the shore and climb the existing lighthouse. We'll fish in a spawning river and cook lunch on the shore. Those interested can take a walk on an abandoned Japanese ship. In the evening we will return to the yacht. Overnight stay on the yacht.

Day 7

Early departure along the coast of Kamchatka towards Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. After breakfast we will take a look at Cape Shipunsky to the fur seal rookery, near which you can meet a family of orcas. By lunchtime we will return to Avacha Bay. Check in at the hotel and dinner at the restaurant.

Day 8

Moving to the north of Kamchatka. In the morning we will take an off-road vehicle to the village of Esso, on the way we will stop for lunch at a roadside cafe. Esso is located on the territory of the Bystrinsky Natural Park, surrounded on all sides by a relict forest and mountains. The village is located in the foothills of the Sredinny Range and is famous for its hot springs. We will stay overnight in guest houses and take a dip in hot springs. Day travel - 530 km.

Day 9

In the morning we leave towards the Tolbachik volcano. On this day, we will go by SUV to the traces of the Great Tolbachik Fissure Eruption (GTFE) in 1975. We will climb the cones of the Northern Breakthrough (1100 m), which have not cooled for more than forty years. Let's cook lunch in the crater of the volcano. We will stop for the night in the Dead Forest, which died as a result of the catastrophic eruption of 1975. Overnight in tents. Day trip - 4 km. Day trip - 60 km.

Day 10

In the morning we will drive an off-road vehicle to the tourist base Kleshnya and to the lava fields of 2012. In 2012, the last eruption of Tolbachik volcano occurred, as a result of which solidified lava flows appeared on the surface. On this day we will visit lava caves, walk along the lava, climb the cone from which the eruption began. On the way back, we will visit the family of Berengi gophers - gophers, who are not afraid of humans and enjoy themselves right from their hands. In the evening we will return to the tent camp. Day trip - 12 km. Day travel - 30 km.

Day 11

In the morning we collect the camp and go to the old crater Zvezda. We visit lava caves, which are almost 300 years old. We return to civilization, have lunch by the Studenaya river overlooking the Klyuchevskoy volcano. In the evening we will stay in the village of Kozyrevsk in guest houses and take a bath. Day hike - 2 km. Day travel - 50 km.

Day 12

We will spend the whole day on the way back to Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In the evening we will stay at the hotel. Joint farewell dinner in the city. Day travel - 480 km.

Day 13

The final day. Before departure, we will visit the fish market, where we will tell you which caviar and red fish are best to bring to your friends. We leave for the airport and say goodbye.

Yacht

The sailing-motor yacht according to the Hydra project has a steel insulated hull and two helm stations with a captain's cabin. The yacht is 14 meters long, 4 meters wide.
The vessel is equipped with all the necessary equipment for safe autonomous travel: satellite communications, modern navigation system and emergency rescue equipment. The ship has everything you need for a comfortable journey: refrigerator, gas stove, toilet, shower, sound system, TV. Three cabins are provided to accommodate passengers: bow, stern and wardroom.

List of required personal equipment:
1. Equipment:

  • Backpack for 60-70 liters or bag for things
  • Sleeping bag, with a comfort temperature (t comf.) In the range 0 - +5 gr. (can be rented)

2. Personal items:

a) Clothes: Kamchatka is famous for its unpredictable weather, so choose your clothes very carefully. High humidity and strong winds are what you will have to face while on the deck of a yacht. Therefore, it is better to take a lot of warm clothes. High humidity will keep your cotton garments from drying out, so opt for synthetic materials.

  • Warm jacket with a hood (preferably with synthetic insulation)
  • Cap
  • Trekking pants
  • Waterproof pants (not critical, but in high humidity they will be more comfortable)
  • The jacket is windproof and waterproof (preferably a membrane, a poncho may fit
  • Fleece jacket or turtleneck sweater
  • A set of thermal underwear (top and bottom, preferably with wool content)
  • T-shirts (2 pieces, preferably made of synthetic materials)
  • Woolen socks (2 pairs)
  • Trekking socks (2 pairs minimum)
  • Underwear
  • Sun hat (buff will do)
  • Warm gloves
  • Set of clothes for sleep (set of thin thermal underwear)

b) Shoes:

  • Sneakers or replacement shoes on the yacht and in the camp (Crocs sandals or special yacht shoes made of neoprene are suitable)
  • Trekking boots
  • Boots (boots made of EVA, or bogs) - it is very convenient in them to land on the shore, wander the streams and walk along the shore
