Days 6 - 7
Cave cities in the Ihlara Valley (Ihlara Canyon). This is a huge gorge between the villages of Ihlara and Selim, about 15 kilometers long and 100-150 meters high. In the picturesque valley there are numerous rocky cities and a number of churches interesting in the artistic respect are located (IV century). They were decorated with frescoes of Syrian, Syrian-Egyptian, Byzantine origin, dating from the first years of the 9th century. The churches Kuzey Ambar Kilis, Kokar Kilis, Agach Alti Kilis (the church of St. Daniel got its name from the fresco "Daniel among the Lions"), interesting biblical subjects have been preserved in many churches.

Brief information on the area

Ankara is the capital of Turkey, a major cultural and industrial center, located in central Anatolia.

Kayseri is the administrative center in Turkey. It is based on the Great Silk Road at the foot of Erciyas volcano. If you are traveling to Cappadocia or want to go skiing, you are sure to get to Kayseri. Göreme is a small village and one of the unique historical areas in Turkey. It is located near Kayseri, in the province of Nevsehir in central Anatolia. This is an open-air museum - you need to see it with your own eyes.

Hasandagi (Hasan Volcano) or another name in Turkey - Aksaray. The height is 3253 m, it is the second highest elevation in central Anatolia. It has a caldera 4-5 km wide. The last eruption took place about 6200 BC. The volcano has two main peaks, the western peak is higher and has two craters.
