• Tour ski, DVA (Arva, Bips…), snow shovel and probe
• Walking shoes
• Warm and waterproof gear (different layers)
• One rucksack between 40 to 50 litres
• One duffle bag (trekking extend 60 to 80 litres) that will be carried by horses
• Crampons (if you don’t have we can rent you some)
• Sleeping bags
• Headlamps
• Gloves
• Sunglasses
• Balaclava (winter buff)
• Thermos

Brief information on the area and route

• The city of Van is located on the shore of the lake of the same name.
• The city and the lake will be surrounded by numerous peaks from 2 to 4 thousand meters high.
• Lake Van is a unique attraction in Turkey, it is a huge natural reservoir located high in the mountains, at an altitude of about 1650 meters above sea level. The occupied area is about 3500 sq. km, the greatest depth is about 450 meters. Lake Van was formed millions of years ago, in the crater of an extinct volcano, and is considered one of the most ancient bodies of water on our planet. Today, it is the largest soda lake in Turkey and the world, it is even called the Van Sea.
