Day 1

Arrival in Tbilisi. Transfer to the hotel from the airport. Hotel accommodation. Lunch (not included). Depending on the arrival time, a city tour accompanied by a guide. Itinerary: Old Town, sulfur baths (Abanotubani), Legvtakhavi Gorge, Narekala Fortress, Metekhi Cathedral. Dinner (not included).

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Borjomi. On the way excursion to Mtskheta. Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities in Georgia and the first capital of the country, founded in the fifth century. Received the name "Second Jerusalem". It is famous for the Svetitskhoveli temple and the Samtavro monastery complex. Arrival in Borjomi, accommodation in a villa (guesthouse). Lunch at the restaurant (included). Introductory trail of the national park, 3 km, 2 hours, walking, medium difficulty. The main attractions of the route: St. Nino Church, view of the city of Borjomi. The route starts from the administration building (850 m above sea level), it takes 1.5 hours to go through it, after about 600 m of hard to climb the path goes to a flat place and turns left, where you get a roundabout and returns back to the path. The highest point of the trail of the national park is located at an altitude of 950 m above sea level. Return to the guesthouse. Dinner.

Day 3

Breakfast. Track from Atskuri post (978 m) to Mount Amarati _1969 m). The trail begins along the river and, gradually gaining height, leads to the ridge, from which wonderful panoramas of the mountains of the Lesser Caucasus open. The trail passes through the zone of coniferous, then deciduous forest and leads to the zone of alpine meadows. In the fall it is especially spectacular. Descent along the ascent path. 15-16 km, 5-6 hours. Lunch boxes along the way. Dinner. Free time.

Day 4

Breakfast. Track Likani - Kwabishevi. Track from the village of Likani, which is located near Borjomi, to the village of Kwabishevi. The first part of the path is the ascent to the 1805 m pass. The vegetation is very diverse, there is a yew listed in the Red Book. From the pass there is a beautiful view of two valleys. Then the trail descends into the valley, but first it will allow you to admire plenty of views of the Kwabishevi Canyon. Set - dumping altitude of about 1000 m, 16 km, 5-6 hours. Lunch boxes on the way. Dinner. Free time.

Day 5

Breakfast. Track Zanavi - Nunisi. Track along the eastern part of Borjomi Park from the village of Zanavi to the village of Nunisi. The area is very rugged and remarkable for forests - coniferous, deciduous, mixed and subtropical Colchis. The lowest point is 764 m, the highest is 1719 m. In Nunisi there is a monastery of the 9th century. 15 km, 5-6 hours. Lunch boxes on the way. Dinner. Free time.

Day 6

Breakfast. Transfer to Tbilisi. On the way, an excursion to Jvari - a monastery of the 6th century. It is located on Krestova Gora, where Saint Nino erected a cross (the cross is currently in the temple). The monastery offers stunning views of the confluence of two rivers - Aragva and Kura. Hotel accommodation. Upon request and for an additional fee, visit to sulfur baths (reservation is made).

Day 7

Breakfast. Free time. Airport transfer.

Brief information on the area and route

Tbilisi is the capital of Georgia, translated from Georgian as “warm source”, the old name is Tiflis. This is the largest city in Georgia, located on the banks of the Kura River with a population of more than 1 million people. The city was founded in the 5th century. Tbilisi is the ancient cultural center of Georgia. In the southeastern part of the city is its historical core - the Old Town with narrow streets that have retained the features of medieval buildings. Here you can see the ruins of the citadel of Narikal, later completed by the Turks in the 16th-17th centuries, the stone church of Anchiskhati, the church of Metekhi, the cathedrals of Sioni and Sameba.

Mtskheta is a city in Georgia, the first capital of the country, located at the confluence of Aragvi and Kura, a few kilometers north of Tbilisi. The city was founded in the 5th century BC It is the most sacred city for pilgrimage in Georgia, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here are the remains of the fortified residences of the Armazsky fortress (Armaztsikhe), Bebritsikhe, city blocks, burial grounds, as well as the Samtavro monastery complex (the main temple of the 11th century) and Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Borjomi is a resort city in the Samtskhe-Javakheti region, in the south-west of Georgia. The city is famous for its Borjomi mineral water, which occupies the first export position in Georgia. Borjomi-Kharagauli National Park is a national park in the central part of Georgia, located on the territory of the Lesser Caucasus. One of the largest national parks in Europe, includes six administrative districts, stretching from the resort of Borjomi to the city of Kharagauli. Its area is 5.3 thousand square kilometers, which is 7.6% of the entire territory of Georgia.

Likani - a village located on the western outskirts of Borjomi in the Borjomi Gorge, is one of the most popular mountain resorts. There are several important historical sites.

Kvabishevi - a village located in the Borjomi Gorge, is famous for its oldest and most interesting structure - the Assumption Church of the Virgin in Kwabishevi. This is a three-nave basilica of the VIII-IX centuries, and the painting dates from the XII-XIII centuries. The fresco depicts a man and a woman in rich clothes. Here is an old Georgian inscription: "Shotai da Jai." The man is the great Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli, and the woman is his mother.

Zanavi is a village in the Borjomi municipality near the Kura River, the height above sea level is 795 meters. In the Middle Ages it was a large settlement, but during the wars with the Ottoman Empire it was destroyed and the Georgian population left it completely by the beginning of the 19th century. Now it is a small village with a very beautiful church of St. George. Known for its natural mineral springs.

Nunisi is a village, a balneoclimatic resort. It is located on the spurs of the Meskhetian Range, at an altitude of 900m. above sea level, Mountain air and warm healing mineral water (27-28 ° С) create all conditions for rest and treatment, and mixed coniferous and deciduous forests create a unique microclimate.
