Climbing Ama Dablam (6812 m) with acclimatization on Island Peak (6189 m) 

When you come to Nepal and go trekking towards the highest peak of the planet, the peak of the world - Everest, you will see many beautiful peaks on your way. But one of them, you will be remembered for a lifetime and it will be Mount Ama-Dablam. It is considered one of the most beautiful peaks of the World, the pearl of the Himalayas, the hallmark of the Khumbu valley and the whole of Nepal.

Well, if you decide to climb the summit of Ama Dablam, it will not be easy for you.

Ama Dablam

  • height above sea level - 6812 m,
  • This is a fairly high and technical six-thousander. Participants need to be able to use alps equipment well (a training program is included). You will have movement along rather steep rocks, in cats with ice axes along snow-ice slopes, possibly along stairs through cracks, working with the jumar along steep railings, etc.
  • as a big bonus for trekking and climbing - an indescribable panorama of the Himalayan peaks: Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Cho Oyu

Attention! Preparation for the ascent should be taken thoroughly. For climbing:

  • you need good physical fitness and stamina
  • you need good acclimatization, preferably above 5000 meters
  • you need to have experience in high-altitude and technical ascents of difficulty category 4-5
  • in the tour program you will have an acclimatization climb to the peak of Island Peak (6189 m), where you can work out all the technical climbing skills
