Day 1
Meeting in Milan, then transfer to Aosta and further to the village of Pont (1960 m).
Depending on the time of meeting in Milan, we will make a stop in the city of Aosta
Day 2
Transfer from Aosta to the village of Pont (1960 m) and then climb to one of the huts: Vittorio Emanuele II (2735 m) or Chabod (2710 m). Easy walk
Day 3
Acclimatization hike.
Vittorio Emanuele II (2735 m). Exit to the area of the peaks: Tresenta (3609 m) and Charforon (3642 m). If agreed upon earlier, ascent to the summit of Tresenta.
Chabod (2710 m). Exit along the glacier towards the Bonny Pass (3587 m)
Day 4
Ascent to Gran Paradiso (4061 m). Descent along the ascent route through the hut and further to the village of Pont. Transfer to Aosta
Day 5
Rest day
Day 6
Moving to the village of Staffal (1825 m).
Further, everything depends on the time of our arrival in Staffal.
- If we have time for the cable car, then we go up (options) to the huts: Gabiet and the lake of the same name (2400 m), Orest (2600 m), Mantova (3400 m) or Gnifetti (3600 m). If there is no acclimatization, then it is better to stop in Staffal
- If we do not have time, then we stop in Staffal
Day 7
Moving to the Gnifetti hut (3600 m)
Day 8
After breakfast, moving to the highest alpine hut Margarita (4554 m)
Day 9
Climbing the Dufour peak (4634 m).
Then there are 2 options:
- descent along the ascent route to the Margherita hut
- descent towards Switzerland, the Monte Rosa hut (2883 m)
Day 10
Italy. Descent to the village of Staffal.
Switzerland. Descent to Zermatt via Gornergrat (3089 m) - the upper station of the railway to Zermatt. This is one of those places that everyone should visit at least once in their life. It offers a magnificent panorama of the mountains and a magnificent view of the Matterhorn
Day 11
Italy. End of the tour, departure of the participants. See you on new routes!
