Attention! Preparation for the ascent should be taken thoroughly. For climbing:

Brief information about the area

Island Peak, also known as Imja Tse, is located in the Imja Valley right on the Nepalese-Tibetan border, in the Sagartatha National Park, on one of the spurs of the huge southern wall of Lhotse. This beautiful mountain really looks like an island that on both sides is overshadowed by the huge southern wall of Lhotse / Nuptse in the north and Baruntse in the south. The view from the top of this mountain is really wonderful, amazing glaciers descending from a height of 8000 meters and a view of the beautiful Ama Dablam and Mount Makalu.
