Day 1
12:00 - group gathering at the railway station of Vladikavkaz (near the main entrance from the city side). 12:30 - group gathering at the airport of Beslan (near the main entrance). Transfer by minibus to the resort Tsey (2.5 hours). About an hour's drive - and we are already in the mountains! The Alagir Gorge opens its hospitable embrace and immediately picturesque rocks rise around us, at the foot of which the emerald Ardon River runs. Today on our way there will be two unusual Ossetian monuments at once! First we will make a stop near the patron saint of men, warriors and travelers. Locals call it in their own way - Uastirdzhi. We, tourists, hardly pronounce such words and call this patron Saint George. Believe us, you have not seen such monuments yet! At a height of 22 meters, the spectacular rider on a steel horse seems to pierce through the rock and fly out onto the road. The weight of the sculpture is 28 tons !! This is the highest equestrian monument in the world! Further on our way is the Tsei Gorge, at the entrance to which the patron saint of Afsati lives. It symbolizes protection for all living in this beautiful corner of the Caucasus. Soon we will arrive at the Tsey alpine camp, on whose territory we will set up our camp. Walking from transport to the camp site takes 5 minutes. Throughout the rest of the time, our campground stands in one place. Today we have time to walk around the territory of the alpine camp and take a short walk around the surrounding area. The parking lot is located at an altitude of 1970 m.
Day 2
There are 29 glaciers in the Tsey Gorge. We will see two of the most famous: Tsei Glacier and Skazka Glacier. In these places these are the largest and most affordable glaciers! The glacier with the terrific name "Fairy Tale" smoothly descends from the Skazsky Pass. It is majestically spread out in the valley for as much as 3 kilometers. In the hot rays of the Caucasian sun, the glacier shimmers with blue and emerald colors. He lures all tourists closer and shows off in front of them with his amazing grotto! From the grotto flows the Skazdon River, the length of which is 2.5 km. Get used to the local, unusual names. Skazdon flows into Ceydon and both these fabulous rivers quickly rush down into the valley. We will climb the cable car to the glacier, and then go back down on foot. The active part of the passage along the route: 5.1 km, vertical drop 2400-2840-1970 m, the duration of the route is 5 hours.
Day 3
We go along the forest path to Recom - one of the three main Ossetian sanctuaries. Recom is an ancient Ossetian deity who was asked to send a rich harvest, successful haymaking and hunting. Every year, in the middle of summer, weekly celebrations were held here in honor of God. The sanctuary is a wooden hut built from thick pines and decorated with ornaments. The structure is folded in the old fashion, without nails! Then we go to the Shagatsikondon waterfall. Not everyone can pronounce this name and not the first time. Our instructors also trained a lot to boldly pronounce the name of the waterfall! A convenient ecotropic leads to the picturesque canyon, where the waterfall is located. It has several steps and playfully jumps from a ledge to a ledge. In this place we will have a rest, have lunch and go on the return trip. Day 4
Tsei Glacier is one of the largest glaciers in North Ossetia. It feeds on the snows of the Adai Khokh Mountain. The length of the glacier reaches 8 kilometers, the average thickness of the ice is 80 meters! The path to the Tseiskiy glacier goes through the coniferous forest, along high, sophisticated mountains. We are accompanied by the Ceydon River along the entire route. In the river you can often see fallen trees, which look very harmonious here and give special beauty to this gorge. At the end of the path we will approach the spectacular, emerald grotto of a glacier from which the Ceydon River flows. The active part of the passage along the route: 9.5 km, elevation 1970-2230 m, the duration of the route is 6-7 hours.
Day 5
For several days, we are already used to walking through forests, waterfalls and admiring glaciers. Today let's go, look down on all our routes! You are waiting for the Sadon Pass and the peak of the Tourist. This is the highest point of the route! From the bird's-eye view, we will discover the whole Tseiskoye Gorge, the peaks of the Main Caucasus Range and the proud handsome Kazbek. Kazbek (5033 m) is one of the highest points in Georgia, the top of which is decorated with glaciers and sparkling snow! The active part of the passage along the route: 22.5 km, vertical drop 1970-1710-2877-1710-1970 m, the duration of the route is 8-9 hours.
Day 6
Dargavs, rock fortress Dzivgis, Alansky Holy Assumption Monastery, Kadargavan Canyon, Karmadon Gorge. Today is an easy, sightseeing day! We travel a lot by bus and walk just a little bit. The program today is very extensive: we will visit the Alansky Monastery and the Dzivgis Fortress, built right in the rock. We will take a walk along the picturesque Kadargavan Canyon, see an unusual monument to Lenin and drive into the Karmadon Gorge, where the Kolka Glacier descended in 2002. One of the most unusual places along the route is Dargavs, the visiting card of Ossetia. Dargavs is a necropolis, which has about 90 crypts built in the form of pyramids. The active part of the passage along the route: 3 km, the duration of the route is 6-7 hours.
Day 7
We say goodbye to the mountains and leave the Tsei Gorge, which we love, and visit the thermal springs of Biragzange along the way. These sources have a very classic discovery story! In the mid-1990s, they searched for oil and valuable hydrocarbons. However, instead of oil, a fountain of hot, mineral water hit the well. The water temperature here is more than 40 degrees! Since then, people come here to swim in the healing water, relax and strengthen their health.
Transfer by minibus to Vladikavkaz.
15: 00-15: 30 - arrival at the airport of Beslan.
16:00 - arrival at the railway station in Vladikavkaz.
