Day 1
The beginning of the adventure. Meeting participants at the airport. We pick up the luggage and start the journey. For tourists who arrive before 14:00, we will start our acquaintance with Kamchatka from the Pacific coast. We will have lunch on the black volcanic sand, meet and discuss our upcoming trip. Then we will go to the city and spend the night in the hostel. Day travel - 110 km.
Day 2
We leave for the north of Kamchatka. On the way, we will stop for lunch at roadside cafes. In the evening we arrive at the territory of the natural park "Volcanoes of Kamchatka". We get up for the night near Mount Kopyto with a view of Klyuchevskaya Sopka and Kamen volcano. Overnight in tents or in the volcanologists' house. Day travel - 520 km.
Day 3
We got up slowly, had breakfast, packed our things. Today we start a hiking trip, which begins with a short walk to the camp at the Baranye Rocks, from where a stunning view of the Tolbachik volcano opens. We will stop for lunch at the Studenaya river. In summer, the river dries up completely and it becomes possible to descend into the canyon, the height of which reaches thirteen meters. In the evening we will come to a small spring, the only source of water in this place. Overnight in tents. Day trip - 18 km.
Day 4
We had a good rest, had breakfast and packed our things. Today we will continue our journey through the valley, surrounded on all sides by volcanoes. Trekking up to the Polennitsa Mountain, completely consisting of geometrically regular hexagons. We overcome a small pass (1500 m) and in the evening we come to the foot of the Bezymyanny volcano. Overnight in tents. Day trip - 12 km.
Day 5
And today we have our first ascent! We will make an ascent to Bezymyanny Volcano - an active volcano, the absolute height of which is 2882 meters. It is curious that until 1956 the volcano was considered extinct, until a catastrophic eruption took place that destroyed half of the cone. The ascent is not technically difficult and does not require special equipment, but it takes a whole day. In the evening we will return to the tent camp. Day trip - 12 km.
Day 6
We move further towards the Tolbachik volcano. We will overcome the Plotina pass (1562 m) and find ourselves at the Camping Field of Mars with the best view of the Bezymyanny volcano, Kamen and Klyuchevskoy. This place is home to the largest population of black-capped marmots in Kamchatka. Lunch on the Champ de Mars. After lunch, a short trek through the Tolbachinsky pass (1503 m) and setting up a camp. Overnight in tents. Day trip - 13 km.
Day 7
Traditional morning preparations. Today we have a transition to the Tolud base. The name of this place was given by two volcanoes - Tolbachik and Udina - between which it is located. On the way we will overcome the Tolud pass (1200 m). All day we will walk along a dry river overlooking the Big Udina volcano. In the evening we will arrive at the Tolud tourist base. Around the base there are endless thickets of blueberries and lingonberries, which ripen in August. Overnight in tents or a house. Day trip - 13 km.
Day 8
Rest is certainly very good, but we continue our journey towards the Kleshnya base. For most of the day we will walk along the flows of cooled lava left over from the eruption of Tolbachik volcano in 2012. Overnight in tents near the spring at the Kleshnya camp, where a lot of funny animals live - eurashki that are not afraid of humans. Day trip - 12 km.
Day 9
Today we have our second ascent - climbing the Plosky Tolbachik volcano (3085 m). We'll have an early rise. The ascent usually takes 7-8 hours and will require significant physical strength, the distance to the summit is 12 km. In the evening we will return to the tent camp. Day trip - 24 km.
Day 10
We will spend another day in this fascinating place. Today we will explore the foot of the Tolbachik volcano. In 2012, the last volcanic eruption occurred, which resulted in solidified lava flows on the surface. On this day, we will visit lava caves, walk along the lava, climb the cone from which the eruption began. In the evening we will return to the tent camp. Day trip - 12 km.
Day 11
It will be easier today. After packing in the morning, we will go with you in an off-road vehicle to the traces of the Great Tolbachik Fissure Eruption in 1975. Let's climb the cones of the Northern Breakthrough, which have not cooled for more than forty years. For lunch we will stop at the "Dead Forest", which was destroyed by a catastrophic eruption. Then we will go to the village of Kozyrevsk. Overnight in guest houses, Russian bath. Day hike - 3 km. Day travel - 70 km.
Day 12
Unfortunately, our exciting journey is coming to an end. All this day we will spend on the road towards Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. In the evening we will stop at the hostel. Joint farewell dinner in the city. Day travel - 480 km.
Day 13
We will visit the fish market, where we will tell you which caviar and red fish are best to bring to your friends. We go to the airport and say goodbye.
